rockin' out with muse...

in the ben harper documentary 'pleasure and pain' he talks about how we find our music. he makes the point that even greater than the influence of tv/radio is the influence of friends. that's cool and true.

i try to live my life with a general attitude of openness and optimism. in that spirit i've taken my friend jonny o's advice and followed the youtube links to a 'muse' video. i've heard them before, had a vague recollection and was skeptical. they rock pretty hard and normally i'm not a fan of that. i'm also not always a fan of crazy effected instruments but the bass line in this song is awesome. the video is intense and well made. (and i have muscles just like that dude.)
